When I got my reservation it had 2 down loads that I can’t open. I just want to make sure there is nothing I need before we get there. Thank you

    Heigh-Ho Tracy,

Walt Disney World Resorts is excited to Welcome You Home shortly. And getting ready for your arrival day is made simple through your My Disney Experience profile.

While I am not sure what the downloads contained, in the email sent to you, I can let you know what is important to know and do before your arrival. If you have not already done so, I recommend making a My Disney Experience profile and downloading the handy-dandy app on to your mobile device. Your My Disney Experience profile is your personal Disney vacation hub. Here you are able to access your Walt Disney World Resort Reservation, modify and confirm your Park Ticket Reservation, add those traveling with you to your Family & Friend List and assign tickets to them, along with a plethora of other things. Take the time and become comfortable navigating your profile both online and on your app, before arriving.

Once you have made a profile, Guests can link their Walt Disney World Resort vacation confirmation number to their profile. This will allow you to see your room information in full detail, as well as make payments towards your vacation package.

Before arrival, Guests should sign in to their My Disney Experience profile (online or app), head to your Walt Disney World Resort Reservation and follow the prompts to Online Check-In and Direct-to-Room Service. Guests will enter information about their time of expected arrival, optional credit card preference to be used throughout your trip, room request information and other questions that are typically asked at the front desk. Direct-to-Room Service allows Guests to skip happily past the front-desk and off to their room. On your arrival day, Guests will receive updates, through their My Disney Experience app, letting them know when their room is ready, what their room number is and a map of the Resort showing you where your room is located. How do you get in??? Well... your app also, acts as a key to your Walt Disney World Home along with your MagicBand. Simply tap either key preference to the pad and ta-da, you have arrived. What happens if you arrive before your room is ready??? No problem! Drop your luggage with the concierge and take off for the parks, have a bite to eat, explore Disney Springs, lounge by the Resort pool… I could go on and on. Truly, it is that simple. Your My Disney Experience is your key to The Kingdom.

One other thing before arrival, if you are using MagicBands be sure to have your park tickets assigned to them. Again, this is easily done via your My Disney Experience profile. All you need to do is select MagicBand and follow all prompts. Guests can manage multiple MagicBands and link tickets to them.

And finally, check out our planDisney Panel Extras for some of our Tips. We have had yEARS of experience, visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, and love sharing our advice. Feel free to ask away for any further assistance and may your upcoming stay be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
