Hello Renee!
Welcome to planDisney! It’s always fun to help a fellow Hoosier with their trip planning questions! March will be here before we know it, so I am so glad you are planning well in advance. Let’s get this trip figured out!
It sounds like you if you are trying to book a vacation package with both a reservation at a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel and
Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets. When you attempt to do this online, it will only allow you to select the same theme park ticket for each member of your party.
The easiest way around this is to not book a package but to book a room-only reservation, then purchase theme park tickets separately. The pricing is the same if you purchase a package versus room and tickets separately, but you will miss out on a few
magical extras specifically for packages. There are some shopping and dining discounts for Disney Springs and a round of miniature golf. If you won’t be taking advantage of those perks, booking your room and tickets separately is the way to go. First book your Disney Resort Collection Room. Then head to the ticket page to purchase tickets. You’ll need to select the first type of ticket you want and add it to your cart, then start again to add the second ticket, and then the third, and you’ll be able to purchase the three different tickets.
If three adults are going who each want to purchase their tickets on their own, you can do it that way as well. Have each other member of your party create their own
My Disney Experience Account, and purchase their theme park ticket. Then use the
Family & Friends tool to link to each other. Once linked you can select them from your Family & Friends list as the other Guests on the resort reservation. Using this method allows each member of your party to see the plans on their mobile devices, make dining reservations, and place their own mobile food orders.
I hope this is helpful, Renee. If you are still struggling you may want to
call and speak with a booking agent over the phone who can walk you through the process. Wishing you a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!- Kate
