Greetings to you, Amanda!
Welcome once again to planDisney! I hope you're getting ready for your trip to the Disneyland Resort! It's only a couple of short months away and I'm excited for you to experience Walt's original Park. Your visit is going to start just days after the official beginning of the
Holiday Season here and the decorations are always impressive. The Cast Members create such a festive atmosphere that the planning is a
year-round process!
As a Walt Disney World veteran, you might be accustomed to making
dining reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 days) while staying on property. However, the Disneyland Resort did not carry over that policy which means that you will need to check for dining reservations 60 days before each day of your visit. No official times are posted, but reservations tend to begin opening up around 6 a.m. PT, which can mean a string of early mornings, so grab a nice cup of Joffrey's coffee and get comfortable in front of your computer!
That date is quickly approaching, so I hope you have some choices picked out.
Oga's Cantina,
Lamplight Lounge, and
Blue Bayou are all very popular venues and open reservations are rare to see. If you are unable to book a certain reservation, I would recommend checking back regularly as guests will often cancel as plans change. You can also join the
Mobile Walk-up list through the
Disneyland Mobile App.
Amanda, I wish you the best of luck as you make your dining reservations! Remember that the
Festive Foods Marketplace will be going on at Disney California Adventure as well. With a Sip and Savor Pass, you'll get a nice sampling of some excellent holiday themed dishes and keep your tumbly from getting too rumbly! Please feel free to write again if you need anything else before your trip. Until next time!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
