Welcome to
planDisney, Mariah! It sounds to me that you will be ringing in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort! So fun! Thanks for sending us your planning question.
The holidays are the busiest time at the theme parks. If a park reaches its capacity after 2 p.m., when guests can start to use the
Park Hopper Option added to their theme park ticket, additional guests will not be permitted entry. This applies even if the guest started the day with a Disney Park Pass at the specific park.
It's possible that
Disney’s Hollywood Studios may not reach capacity, but there are really no guarantees that you will be allowed back into the park. If you know that you really want to ring in the new year at a specific park, my suggestion is to plan to stay at the park as long as you can. I know that may make for a long day, but it’s the only way you can be 100% sure you will get to celebrate at the theme park of your choice.
Mariah, you can also start your day a bit later. As long as you make it to Disney Hollywood Studios before 2 p.m., when park “hopping” begins, you will be good to go!
I hope this information is helpful and you have a wonderful time on your
magical vacation!
Veronica
