Hi, I have a reservation for DCL for January 2020. At the time of booking I was unmarried and made the reservation under my maiden name. Since then, I have gotten married and will need to change my last name. Can I make a name change without penalties?

    Ahoy, Sabrina!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on your recent marriage! This yEAR is flying by, and your January 2020 sailing will be hEAR before you know it. I'm sure you can't wait to start of the new year with a magical voyage with Disney Cruise Line. It looks like you'll be setting sail on the Disney Magic for a 4-night vacation to The Bahamas! I love when I have the opportunity to sail on the Disney Magic especially since they've added the Broadway-style show, Tangled: The Musical and Rapunzel's Royal Table. This is one of my favorite Disney movies, so I enjoyed seeing it highlighted with the musical and in the dining rotation. We were able to visit twice on our 5-night voyage, and I could not stop looking at all the details in this restaurant, especially the beautiful lanterns. The food was also quite delicious!

There are so many things to look forward to when you cast off for the Bahamas in January, Sabrina. As you finalize your plans, give Disney Cruise Line a call at (800) 951-3532 to have your name changed and be sure to have your reservation number handy. There should be no penalties to add your married name at this time.

Thank you for sailing back by with another great question. Please let us know if you think of anything else before the BIG day arrives.

    Nancy
