Have reservation at Coral Reef at 6:50pm on 9/ 22. We will be attending the Not so Scary party that night too. Should I be ok to keep my reservations for dinner & then head over to MK? Or would I be missing out, on too much of the party? Help!!

    Hi KarieAnn,

Coral Reef is one of our family's favorite restaurants, so it pains me to suggest this, but I would definitely cancel the reservation and schedule it for another evening if you can.

Your ticket for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party provides entrance into the Magic Kingdom beginning at 4pm on the party date. While the actual party is not scheduled to begin until 7pm, once the park closes to the days' guests, you could enter as early as 4:00 and begin to have some Magic Kingdom fun. Even if you prefer to wait until closer to the party start time, a 6:50 dinner at Epcot's Coral Reef will not get you to Magic Kingdom until approximately 9:00pm (figuring 75-90 minutes to dine and transportation time from one park to the other). Although there is a second showing of the parade, this means there will only be around three hours left once you arrive to enjoy the parade, the fireworks (if you haven't already missed them), attractions, meet and greets, any special shows you would like to see, and trick or treating.

Personally for the money spent on the Halloween ticket, I would like to get the maximum amount of Magic Kingdom park time I can. We usually make reservations around 4:30 or 5:00 at a Magic Kingdom restaurant. This seating allows us to fuel up and fill our tummies before hitting the party and candy at 7pm.

I think you will enjoy the extra time at Magic Kingdom and will get more for your entrance price this way. Hope you have a boo-tiful time!
