I have a reservation for Cinderella royal table for 6 and need to add one more and I cant get her in. been calling every day. dont want to change time. what should I do?

    Hello Toy,

I think most of us have had a similar scenario, making Advance Dining Reservations, at our 180 day mark and then somewhere along the next 180 days another person has decided to join you at Walt Disney World. I, myself, have had a couple of different outcomes.

First, I prefer to call (407) WDW-DINE, almost everyday, with hopes availability will open up. Speaking to a Cast Member is easier, than doing this online, because they can hold on to your current Advance Dining Reservation and see if they can work some Disney Magic. On several occasions, I was successful in making the changes.

However, when the stars are not aligned, I do take my chances and hold onto the existing Advance Dining Reservation. Truthfully, it has played out both ways. On the day of, I make my way to the podium, as soon as I enter the park, and explain my situation to the Cast Member. These lovely Cast Members, with a little bit of Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust, make every effort to try and accommodate the extra Guest and I happily have had success. BUT! There was one moment, we had dinner reservations at Be Our Guest and they sadly could not find the room for our extra party Guest.

So keep calling and if the reservation is important and you do not want to switch to another restaurant that can accommodate your entire party, then take a chance. You truly never know when some Disney Magic may come your way. If I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask and may your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World be filled with many magical and memorable moments.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
