Hi Jeanne,
Ooh...you're going to LOVE starting your day with a magical breakfast with Mickey and friends at
Chef Mickey's!
Yes, you're exactly right! You may
park your car at the Transportation and Ticket Center and ride the resort
monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort if you'd like. While that ride can van vary, it should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Since they ask that you arrive for your dining reservations 15 minutes early, you'll want to be at the Transportation & Ticket Center before 7:00 a.m.
After your delicious breakfast (including my very favorite Disney breakfast food...Mickey waffles! Mmm...), you may board the resort monorail and take it back to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Then, you may either transfer monorails at that point and ride on to
Epcot, or you may grab your car and drive over to Epcot. It's up to you! The time to get to Epcot likely won't differ much, but if you'll be spending your entire day there, it might be more convenient to have your car with you instead of needing to take the monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket Center at the end of the day. If you do decide to move your car over to Epcot, I'd actually suggest skipping the Transportation and Ticket Center all together and just parking at Disney's Contemporary Resort for your breakfast. You'll be entitled to a few hours of complimentary parking at the Resort hotel while you're there enjoying Chef Mickey's.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jeanne, and have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
