We have a 7:50 reservation for breakfast at Kona Cafe. Can we leave our car at the Polynesian and take the monorail to Magic Kingdom for the morning? We plan to head back to the car around 11/12 for mid day naps at our hotel.

    Hi there, Whitney!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a great way to start a morning at Walt Disney WorldKona Cafe has some of the best breakfast items. I could dive into a Loco Moco right now.

Guests who are not staying at the resort are usually given a short window during which they can leave a vehicle. It's generally about three hours, which gives guests enough time to enjoy a bite to eat, do a little shopping or admiring the resort, then be off to other things. Parking is limited at the resorts, so they don't permit vehicles to remain an extended period of time.

An option you may want to consider is to do your plan in reverse. Take your car to the Magic Kingdom to park, then take the monorail back to the resort for breakfast. Then you can head straight back to the Magic Kingdom after you eat, enjoy your morning at the park, then hop in your car back to your resort for a rest.

Another option is to use Walt Disney World transportation. You can take the transportation from your resort to the Magic Kingdom, then head over to the Polynesian. And don't forget the Minnie Van Service. There is no more adorable way to travel.

    Have a wonderful time, Whitney!
