My,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
I am sorry to tell you that no, even though you have a dining reservation for Cinderella's Royal Table if you don't have a valid ticket for admission to the park at that time, you won't be admitted to get to that dinner. In this case, the special event ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the admission ticket you would need to access that dining reservation.
I am sure that this is disappointing news, but fortunately, now you know and can plan around that. Here are a few suggestions.
- If you can alter your dining time to before 6:00 pm, do so and enjoy the experience
- You could opt to purchase the special event tickets to gain entry
- Consider an alternative, like dining with the princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT
Now I know that none of these seem ideal, but rest assured that some may be better options than you might initially imagine.
I am guessing that you have already checked and that an earlier dining time is not available anyway. Also, I don't think I personally would opt to purchase the special party tickets, knowing that I would be spending money on those, but then missing out on a good hour of the party experience while dining.
Assuming that those first two options are not viable, I would tell you that the princess experience at Akershus is quite exceptional. The variety of princesses that visit, the quality of the meal, and the well-themed decor of the restaurant add up to a comparable way for your party to enjoy dinner.
WARNINGRegardless of what path you choose, make sure you cancel that initial reservation to Cinderella's Royal Table if you know you won't make it there. Otherwise, you could incur a cancellation charge.
