Hey there, Stephanie!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question! I love how far ahead you're planning for your trip to the Disneyland Resort. I have a countdown calendar on my desk that is always showing me when my next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth will happen and it really does help with the anticipation!
In response to your question, park reservations are released 180 days in advance for regular T
heme Park Tickets. If you check the
Availability Calendar, you'll see that the calendar currently goes out until August. Therefore, for your specified visit date, reservations will open up in the latter half of March and that's when I would recommend checking again. At that time, you should be able to make your park reservations for your visit, so you're definitely not doing anything wrong!
If you have any dining reservations that you'd like to make for your trip, they will open up 60 days in advance. If you are visiting over multiple days, you'll have to keep checking every day at 60 days prior for each day of your visit. The
Blue Bayou Restaurant and
Lamplight Lounge are two very popular venues, and I book them immediately if I see any openings!
The Disneyland Resort will be in the middle of its
Halloween Season at the time of your visit, so I hope you like candy and pumpkins! I'm very excited to see the new
Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion when it opens up later this year, so be on the lookout for that.
Fun Fact: The unofficial lord of the Haunted Mansion is "Master Gracey," a nod to Imagineer and Disney Legend
Yale Gracey. There used to be a gravestone dedicated to him in the family plot and we'll have to see if it returns once the Grounds Expansion is complete.
I hope that this was helpful for you, Stephanie, and that you are having fun planning your trip. We'd love to continue to be involved, so please let us know if you have any other questions! You're always welcome at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
