Hi I have a reservation on the 13th of April to check in to the Disneyland Hotel I see in the app that I can check in on the 8th. Would I be charged more if I do or would it just be the remaining amount and any other balance due

Hey there, hi there, Alana! Welcome back to planDisney! We are so glad you stopped by with your question for us.

I am so excited for you and your upcoming visit to Disneyland! I absolutely love getting to stay at the Disneyland Hotel. It just has the perfect theming that's full of magic from the present and past of Disneyland. One of the great things about staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is that on the Disneyland app or Disneyland website, you can start your check-in process up to 5 days in advance, utilizing the Direct-to-Room service. The process will have you share your contact info and put a card on file. It usually asks when you plan to check in and if you have special requests. There is no fee for early check-in in and your payment or balance due date will not change.

By doing this in advance, you can start your visit as soon as you set foot on the resort property. No need to check in at the desk, you can check your bags with Bell Services and head to Downtown Disney or hit the parks if you plan to that day. Then, all you need to do is wait for a text or app notification that your room is ready. I like to get there early because you can take advantage of early entry for the parks even on check-in day. Be sure to check out the Daily Events Schedule to see which park has early entry.

Alana, I hope you have a magical visit. Be sure to stop by again if you have any other questions leading up to your stay! See you real soon!
