Hi! Had reservation at AOA little mermaid in Sept but free DDP is n/a in these rooms. We are either going to Pop and upgrading our dining plan or staying at Port Orleans FQ. Is P.O. Kid friendly? Haven't stayed at either, which would you suggest? Kids 6&am

Hi, Amanda!  I always get so excited when someone is able to take advantage of a great promotion like free dining at Walt Disney World!

I do love Pop Century, and the tie dyed cheesecake is almost enough to sway me in that direction, but one of my favorite moderate resorts is Port Orleans.  I love the theme, the intimate feel, and, of course, the beignets!

Port Orleans is definitely kid friendly.  Ol' Man Island is one of my girls favorite pool areas at Walt Disney World, and there are bike and boat rentals there as well.  You'll also find a kids play area at this resort.

I think the best part really is that it's a smaller feeling resort.  Any of the buildings is just a short walk to transportation, food, or any of the pools.  That can be really convenient when kids are tired at the end of the day or anxious to get their feet wet!

I hope this helps!  Happy planning, Amanda!
