i have reserv. thru AAA but they could only do 20% holiday discount for 1 room. trying to see if i could reserve on Disney site either Pop Century (currently have)or maybe Coronado springs. Is it cheaper to have 1 ad in room alone or add 1 child with it?

    Hello Charla!

Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for visiting with your question. Your magical vacation will be here soon, so it's the perfect time to be arranging the details!

I always watch the Disney World Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page for any specials that could save my family money on a future Disney trip. You may have noticed the featured Rooms This Holiday Season sale offering up to 20% off a stay at one of the Disney Resort Collection Hotels. I would start here, and use the "check availability" tool to verify your room preferences are available for your dates. You should include all guests who will be staying in the room on the reservation. The base rate quoted includes two adults, and children under the age of 18 are free (up to the room's maximum capacity).  So if I understand your question correctly - the price would be the same with either 1 solo adult in the room, or when adding 1 child. Registering all guests also enables magical perks for each member of your party, such as MagicBand access to open your hotel room door, early entry to the Disney theme parks, and receiving free admission to a Disney Water Park on arrival day.

I love both of your resort ideas - Pop Century or Coronado Springs! Pop Century always brings happy vibes, the fun hustle and bustle of excited families, and magical larger-than-life theming. Being on the Disney Skyliner route is a really convenient perk, and highly enjoyable method of transportation to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. Since the addition of the tower at Coronado Springs, this entire resort has a whole new elegant feeling. It's absolutely gorgeous, and has numerous delicious dining options.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to send me any questions at planDisney, and have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World.

    See ya' real soon!
    Tami
