We have res at the California Grill at 9:00pm in hopes of seeing the Wishes Fireworks, but now we discovered that they will not be shown that night, but the Halloween Fireworks will be. Do you think it might be better to cancel and try this another trip?

Hi, Ann! Guess what ... you have actually scored a fantastic Advance Dining Reservation! I can understand how you would initially be disappointed that you would miss viewing Wishes nighttime spectacular from California Grill. This is such a unique vantage point, made even more magical as the restaurant dims the lights and pipes in the music from the show to the restaurant and outdoor observation decks. However, there is no need to be disappointed as you will get to experience Happy HalloWishes fireworks, a quite sensational awakening of happy haunts in the sky!

Last October, I enjoyed dinner at California Grill with several of my fellow Panelists on an evening that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was being celebrated in Magic Kingdom Park. We also had a 9:00 p.m. Advance Dining Reservation. Just as we were finishing our main course, we walked out to the observation deck to enjoy Happy HalloWishes. I was just amazed at how much more I enjoyed watching this nighttime spectacular than Wishes from California Grill! You will be pleased to know that they do also pipe in the music from this spooktacular display. It was truly an unforgettable night, so I highly suggest that you keep your Advance Dining Reservation. If you do decide that you are too much of a Wishes fan to miss out, keep checking back for more Advance Dining Reservations to open on a night when the party is not being hosted. Guests do change their plans often, so you never know when one may open for you!

I hope this helps you while planning your visit, Ann. Please let us know if you have any further questions. Have a magical day!
