Is it required to give your luggage to the porters on a Disney Cruise?

    Ahoy there, Marisela!

Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your question. Your Disney Cruise Line vacation is just over the horizon! I'm sure you are working on your packing list and will be ready to set sail soon, so let's get to your question.

When you arrive at the cruise terminal, you will be greeted by porters who will make sure your luggage is loaded on the ship. From there, your luggage will be delivered to your stateroom. Remember to place the luggage tags you received from Disney Cruise Line on the luggage you plan to have delivered to your stateroom. You can carry one bag and a personal item onboard with you. The carry-on bag must be no larger than 22 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep. Even with a carry-on, keep in mind you will need to navigate your activities once onboard since your stateroom may not be available for a few hours after boarding.

You will want to pack your boarding documents (including your government-issued ID and Port Arrival Form), valuables, and medications in your carry-on or day bag. I usually bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat in my carry-on bag so I'm ready for the sailaway party. As you put your packing list together, check out this handy list of items.

I hope this information is helpful, Marisela. Drop anchor at planDisney any time if you have other questions!

    Wishing you many magical memories,
    Shannon
