Welcome to planDisney, Greg! My children would say, "absolutely, yes, you must have your children with you to go to Walt Disney World!" but Mickey does not require you to bring a child with you. Everyone is welcome, including childless adults. In fact, some of my favorite Disney trips have been with just my husband, my best friends, and solo.
Walt Disney World parks and the resorts are magical for all ages, but traveling with adults only is a different experience. For me, I still love all the attractions, but I am also all about the food. Some of my favorite restaurants like
Sanaa and
The Hollywood Brown Derby top my list when visiting with adults. It is also a chance to take it easy on park days. My friend
Jenna recommends
Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom as a perfect spot to relax away from the crowds while still being immersed in the magic.
Be sure to look into
Enchanting Extras Collection with experiences for adult guests, like
La Cava Experience in EPCOT where you can learn about Mexican tequilas. We cannot wait for our kids to be old enough to enjoy the
Keys to the Kingdom Tour in Magic Kingdom, including the infamous Utilidors below the park. This experience is only for guests 16 and older.
Walt Disney World Resort is truly the most Magical Place on Earth for kids of all ages. If you have any other questions as you plan your trip, please know
planDisney is here for you!
Cheers!
Jana
