Hello Heather,
Thanks for stopping by with another fantastic question. I'm excited to hear about your upcoming multi-generational trip! I haven't visited the parks with my parents since I was a child but I hope to get them back to Walt Disney World Resort with us someday soon. It's truly a perfect destination for any age and stage.
Your resort room will have a
beverage cooler available but it
may not cool to the appropriate temperature for medical needs. I'd recommend stopping by the
Front Desk upon arrival to indicate your request. Cast Members may be able to provide alternate equipment for your room, but this is subject to availability. You can also
contact a Cast Member with the Reservations Team by phone to note the request on your reservation. I can't guarantee that something will be waiting for you, but I'm hopeful you'll find a solution.
In the event that a medical refrigerator is not available during your stay, you can request to have
Bell Services store your refrigerated or frozen items. They can also store ice packs for you to use in your own portable cooler in your resort room, if you prefer. If your father will be accompanying you to the parks,
First Aid is also available to store medication requiring refrigeration.
Your travel dates put you right in the middle of the magic at
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, so be sure to take time to sample the
delicious cuisine as you admire the beautiful character topiaries and floral displays around the park. I especially enjoyed the offerings at Swirled Showcase and The Honey Bee-stro Hosted by National Honey Board. The menus are certain to put an extra "spring" in your family's steps.
I hope this was helpful, Heather. If we can answer any additional questions as you prepare for your visit please come back and let us know. We're always happy to help!
Magic and memories,
Amy
