I replaced the batteries in our Savi's Workshop lightsaber. I get the sound that the blade engages but upon turning on the lightsaber, nothing happens. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Bright Suns, Craig! I'm so glad your droid sent a transmission our way. Thankfully, Obi-Wan Kenobi isn't your only hope! I've received your question and I'm here to help.

I hear that you've recently visited a galaxy far, far away and have returned from Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge with some very special cargo! Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers is a secret location for those who are Force-sensitive to create their very own lightsaber. You must truly be a Jedi! It sounds like your lightsaber has seen many battles and that you've taken great care to replace its energy pellets (also called "batteries"). However, I'm terribly sorry to hear that your blade will not ignite and light up when turned on. It seems like the First Order must have been involved, and we can't let the dark side win! I'd love to give you a few steps to try so your lightsaber can be battle-ready once more.

The first step I'd recommend is to make sure that your battery pack is inserted correctly. Try pressing the battery pack down and twisting to lock it in. Sometimes this is all that's needed to connect everything again! When placing your battery pack into the lightsaber, be sure that the red arrows are aligned (they should be pointing toward the Kyber Crystal). It's also possible that your lightsaber blade has become slightly loose when replacing the batteries. I would recommend making sure that it's connected properly. Make sure the blade is firmly inserted, and try to twist it gently to make sure that it's locked in place.

If you've tried the above steps and your lightsaber still isn't igniting, my next best piece of advice would be to reach out to a Cast Member (don't worry, they're a part of the Resistance and they're here to help!). You can contact them by emailing merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. I'd recommend giving them as much information as you can so they can help you with your next steps. They will be happy to do everything they can to get your lightsaber up and running again!

I hope I was able to help you with your lightsaber today, Craig. And remember - as a Jedi, you are a guardian of peace. Be sure to use your lightsaber wisely. And may the Force be with you!
