I will be renting a 15 passenger Ford Transit Wagon for our trip ti Disneyland. Our tradition is to go to downtown to Disneyland the night before. I was wondering about parking that size of van, where should I park for DT Disney.

Hey there, Danny, and welcome to planDisney!

I see that you have a large group visit to the Disneyland Resort coming up soon! How exciting that you'll have enough guests to fill up a Ford Transit Van! I've often traveled to the Parks with my work colleagues and I can't imagine all being in the same vehicle for the drive down. It would be chaotic but so much fun!

What a wonderful tradition to keep upon your arrival to the Disneyland Resort! As you know, parking for the Downtown Disney District is in the Simba Lot, located off of Disneyland Drive, between West Katella Avenue and Pixar Place Hotel. From there, your group will easily be able to walk to all the shops and restaurants available in Downtown Disney, and there are certainly lots of great changes coming to the area!

I did a bit of research into Ford Transit Vans and it looks like most of them will fit into a normal parking spot aside from the Extended trims. If your vehicle looks like it'll fit into a normal spot, I suspect that you'll be fine just entering the parking lot normally and parking wherever you'd like. Of course, it would be ultimately at the discretion of the parking attendant Cast Member. If your vehicle is deemed oversized, you may be asked to park in Oversized Parking in the Toy Story Parking Area.

Your group will be visiting during Season of the Force as well as the end of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival, so I hope there are some Star Wars fans and foodies in your party! If you have both present, have them take a look at this yummy Foodie Guide

Danny, I hope this was helpful and I wish you and your group a truly magical visit to the Disneyland Resort! If you need anything else, please feel free to visit again because you're always welcome at planDisney!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
