if I am renting a DVC villa through a friend's DVC membership as a non DVC member at the boardwalk inn resort. will we have access to club level at boardwalk inn through our room?

    Hi there, Collin,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for bringing your question here today, I’m glad you’re doing some planning for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many wonderful Disney Vacation Club Villas at Walt Disney World Resort, staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn or Disney’s BoardWalk Villas puts you in a great place for travelling to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. With the Disney Skyliner access just a hop, skip and a jump away, you can sail through the sky in a gondola to your next destination!

Like a few other Disney Resorts Collection Deluxe hotels, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has a separate section called Disney’s BoardWalk Villas (the Front Lobby is the connecting point of both sides). Disney’s BoardWalk Inn has the following room categories that have access to the Club Level: Resort View - Club Level, Deluxe Room - Club Level, Garden Room - Club Level Access, 2 Bedroom Suite - Club Level and Sonora VP Suite - Club Level. If you are staying in a Villa, you would not have access to Club Level. Typically, Disney Vacation Club Members stay on the Villa side since they can use Vacation Points for their reservation. They can book a room on the Disney’s BoardWalk Inn side but would have to do an exchange and convert Vacation Points to Reservation Points (with a fee).

To check your room category, log in to your My Disney Experience account and make sure your reservation is linked. If the reservation is not yet linked, you’ll need to enter the reservation number and the name the reservation is under. You will then be able to see the details of your upcoming stay.

While staying in Disney’s BoardWalk area, I recommend taking the time to explore Crescent Lake’s surroundings. If you’re looking to start your day with a morning run or a quiet walk, the loops around Crescent Lake is so picturesque and measures 0.8 miles. I like to end my walk with a stop at BoardWalk Deli for a coffee and baked goods, it’s a great way to start the morning!

Collin, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. If you have any additional questions, please visit us again at planDisney. We are happy to assist!

    Enjoy making magical memories,
