We rented a car. Is it better to drive to the parks from Saratoga or take the complementary shuttle? How much is parking and how long does it take to get to the parks from Saratoga?

    Hi Ema!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are staying at one of my most frequented Walt Disney World Resort properties. Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is all about location, location, location! It's is a quick walk over a bridge to Disney Springs, where my favorite Morimoto Baby Ribs are the perfect street food bite!

In terms of driving, plan for it to take 15-20 minutes by car from your Resort to any given Park entrance, and parking at the Resort is complimentary for Disney Vacation Club Members. Remember that this is for overnight self-parking. If you choose to use valet services, the valet fee applies. If you take the bus, it's about a 20-30 minute commute from your hotel to any of the four Theme Parks.

If you choose to drive to the Theme Parks, standard parking is complimentary for Walt Disney World Resort guests. We drive 95% of the time, and we always take advantage of this perk! Depending on the weather, we usually enjoy preferred parking by paying the difference between our included standard parking cost and the preferred cost. It's currently around $20-$25 per day. The great thing about the parking fee is that it is per day rather than per Park. So you can hop from Park to Park on the same day and only pay once!

Before you head to your vacation, make sure to download the My Disney Experience app. You can check-in to your hotel from there, and they will also give your updates about your room availability. I love getting the Welcome! Ping followed by the "Room Ready" text. It is so convenient, and allows you to focus on fun rather than waiting for your room! Once you return to the hotel, you can even use the app to unlock your hotel room door! So.Much.Fun!

Ema, if you have any other questions, please drive on back. In the meantime, I wish you happy planning!
