Can you rent wheelchairs at the International Gateway entrance of Epcot?

Hi there, Tamara. Welcome to planDisney.

I'm so happy you are planning to visit EPCOT-home to my favorite restaurant in all of Walt Disney World Resort- Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

Tamara, not long ago, my mom and I were on a special trip together, and she needed a wheelchair. Because we were staying in the BoardWalk area, we rented a wheelchair and an EVC (Electric Conveyance Vehicle) from International Gateway. When you enter EPCOT from International Gateway, the rental location will be to the left and just outside the World Traveler shop. I'm happy to know this information will help you.

Here are a few things to keep in mind: Wheelchairs and EVCs are available to rent at each of the theme parks and at Disney Springs on a first-come, first-served basis. These rentals cannot be reserved, so I suggest arriving at the park at opening, if possible. There was one occasion when we tried to rent an EVC for my mom but could not secure one. We arrived around 7 pm, but none were available because it was so late in the day, so we opted for a wheelchair.

Tamara, I'm also adding the Services for Guests with Mobility Needs page for you. This helpful link has information about disability parking, transportation accessibility, load and unloading areas on attractions, and more.

I hope this answer gives you all the information you need to help you plan for your trip. Never hesitate to stop by planDisney with any of your questions. With faith, trust, and pixie dust, we are here to help.

    Enjoy the magic,
    Shonette
