    Where can I rent a scooter for park use?

    Hello Donna! Welcome to planDisney!

    While I'm sure you're enjoying this hot summer weather I bet that your future Walt Disney World Resort vacation is making you anxious for those winter months to roll around! Don't worry they'll be here before you know it and you'll be singing "it's a small world" and "There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow" as the countdown inches closer. 

    It's funny to see your question pop up today as I was just speaking to a family member yesterday about renting an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle), also known as a scooter, for their next Disney vacation. You have a couple of options when it comes to renting, mostly dependent on how much you plan to use the scooter.

    Guests wishing to use a scooter only for their time within the four Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Springs are able to use a daily rental right within the Parks and Disney Springs. They are rented on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. The best part about renting through Walt Disney World itself is the convenience of only paying once per day but being able to rent a scooter at multiple locations.  Since scooters cannot be removed from the Park they were rented in you'll need to stop by and pick up a new one if you "Park Hop" (move from one Theme Park to another on the same day) or head to Disney Springs for some entertainment and dining.  When "hopping" simply show your original receipt to be given another scooter without having to pay a second or third time. 

    If you're hoping to have a scooter inside AND outside of the Parks to help you navigate around the entire 40 square miles of Resort, Walt Disney World has you covered there too.  By using their featured provider, Scooterbug, Disney helps take care of all the details by working with Cast Members to allow for drop off and pick up of the scooters at Disney Resorts Collection hotels without the Guest having to be present. Through ScooterBug, and other third-party companies, you'll be able to rent a scooter for your entire length of stay.
