Hi, Nichole! Thanks for swimming by with your question! My daughters and I just spent Memorial Day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and we had a splashtastic day together. The weather has been quite hot in the Orlando area lately, so I was really glad we had planned that day away from the theme parks. Lounging through the cool waters of Castaway Creek on our inner tubes was definitely the best way to beat the heat!
I am happy to report to you that you do not have to rent inner tubes while at either of
Disney's Water Parks. For each attraction that uses either a single or multi-rider tube, you will find plenty provided at the entrance to the queue or near the entrance of the ride itself. When you enter either water park's lazy river, just hang around in the water near the steps and watch for someone exiting so you can make use of the inner tube they were using. The same goes for the wave pool at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park,
Melt-Away Bay.
You will find that some of the inner tubes are open in the middle, while others have a seat base in the middle, perfect for toddlers. If you have a little one you would prefer to keep close to you, there are some double tubes available. I saw quite a few floating by as we were waiting to enter Castaway Creek.
I do have a quick rental tip to share with you. Towels can be rented at both of the water parks for $2 each (price subject to change). If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, then the towels are complimentary! All you have to do is scan your MagicBand at either
Beach Haus or
Singapore Sal's to receive your towels. Right next to these merchandise locations are the
locker rentals. While the price is subject to change at any time, you can currently rent a standard size locker (12.5" x 10" x 17") for $10 per day or a large locker (15.5" x 13" x 17") for $15 per day.
I hope this information helps you jump right into a splashtastic Disney day! Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
