Can you rent a golf cart at wilderness lodge? If staying on property?

Howdy, Carrie, and welcome to planDisney! Hunker around the campfire with me to discuss your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit. Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite resorts with its impressive lobby and rustic theming. I always see wildlife when I'm there; the last time there were rabbits everywhere! So let's get hopping to find the best ways to skedaddle during your visit.

Unfortunately, guests staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge cannot rent golf carts since those are exclusively available to folks at the campsites and cabins. The campground section of the resort is extensive, so golf carts come in handy. Guests staying at the lodge have easy access to resort amenities and Disney Bus Service, so golf carts aren't necessary. Fun, but not necessary!

However, if you are staying at the Campsites or Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, you can call Golf Cart Rentals to reserve your cart. I suggest you call as soon as possible since these are rented on a first-come basis. I chatted with a cowpoke Cast Member who checked the current availability, and as of today, there are still carts for the week of your visit.

My family loves to mosey over to Whispering Canyon Cafe, located in the lodge lobby. The bottomless platters of grub are sure to please your cowboys and cowgirls, and remember to ask for ketchup!

Carrie, I hope your upcoming visit is full of magic and marshmallows...roasted over the fire, of course. Please stop by planDisney anytime. Yee-haw!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
