Hey howdy hey, Linda, and thanks for boot-scooting by planDisney today!
I am beyond excited for you to experience all that
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort have to offer. Besides feeling like you’ve been transported to a peaceful forest, there is
so much to see and do on property. From archery to fishing and even wagon rides, you could never possibly get bored! If you can, try to snag a reservation at
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue for your trip. This dinner show is wildly popular and promises to be a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
Linda, in the past, Guests have been able to rent a tent and/or cots through Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort to use during their stay at a campsite there. However, I just spoke with a Cast Member at Group Camping and was told they have not been given the option to rent these items to Guests ahead of time yet this year. Since August is so far away, I wouldn’t give up hope. I encourage you to call Group Camping at 407-939-7807 about a month out from your arrival to see if they are able to rent a tent and/or cot(s) to you at that time. I wish there was a toll-free number I could provide, but the Cast Member said there is not one available. If that is a concern for you, you always have the option of
sending an email directly to Guest Services through the
Help Center on the Walt Disney World Resort website. If you take this route, I would send your email about six weeks out to give them ample time to respond while allowing yourself a buffer in case you need to call after all.
I know it seems like August is (Buzz) lightyears away, but it will be here before you know it! If you find you have more questions along the way, please stop by planDisney again and let us know. We will go to infinity and beyond to find the answers you need.
You’ve got a friend in me,
Alyssa
