Welcome aboard, Vickie! I see that you're planning a magical cruise on the Disney Magic this fall! You're lucky because you'll get to experience some of the most beautiful ports of call in the Eastern Caribbean. But Castaway Cay is my favorite beach in the entire world! I think you'll understand exactly why once you set foot on Disney's private island yourself! My kids and husband and I love spending time together exploring the island on foot, on bike, and by sea. Plus, the kids love to hang out with new friends in Scuttle's Cove while we head out to spend some quiet adult time at Serenity Bay.
The private cabanas at Castaway Cay are very popular and book up quickly. Since you're within the booking window for all guests to make reservations for extras like cabanas, Adult Exclusive Dining, and Spa Treatments, it's possible that all the cabanas are already booked. But, you never know until you check. Log into your reservation to begin your
online check-in, and click on My Cruise Activities. There you can view each day of your cruise and add fun extras to your reservation, including cabanas on Day 7 at Castaway Cay. I'll cross my fingers for you that there may be one left to still book! If not, don't worry because there is plenty of shade with umbrellas all over the beach, and so many spots to relax. Since my family is always on the go, we wouldn't make much use of a cabana, so we always choose to skip that option and we simply find a great spot on the beach. If you're looking for less crowds, stay on the tram until the second family beach stop, called Pelican Plunge. Many guests don't realize that there are two stops for Family Beach, so they all hop off at Scuttle's Cove, the first stop, and fill up the beach there. We stay on until Pelican Plunge and walk a bit down the beach to enjoy less crowds and more relaxation!
Have fun planning, Vickie!
