Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney is working on a planned room refurbishment of the three All Star Resorts, beginning with
Disney’s All Star Movies Resort. I have seen photos of the updated rooms and they are fantastic! I love the bright and clean feeling of the decor, and have you
seen the Murphy bed? It’s such a good use of space and makes the rooms a great choice for families.
Disney’s All Star Movies should be complete or almost complete at this time. Next on the schedule is
Disney’s All Star Music, followed by
Disney’s All Star Sports. There is no published timeline for the refurbishment, so I can only give you my best guestimate. I wouldn’t anticipate Disney’s All Star Sports Resort to be started this year, and I would think next spring or summer for it to start, and possibly not completed until late 2020 or even into 2021.
Then again, sometimes Mickey likes to surprise us all, and it could be completely different! This is my best guess, but we’ll just have to wait and see for sure at this point. If you are hoping for one of the traditional rooms, you are probably still likely to get one in May of 2020. If you are hoping for a refurbished room, I would recommend considering either
Disney’s Pop Century Resort or Disney’s All Star Movies Resort.
