A very warm greetings to you, Jesus!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming by with your question! It's always nice to see another Magic Key holder here and I hope you've enjoyed having yours as much as I have mine. It's allowed me to return to the magic of the Disneyland Resort so much throughout the year and has added so much happiness that it's been well worth the price.
Magic Key renewal windows open up 30 days before its expiration date. When you choose to renew your
Magic Key, the new Key will automatically become activated when the old Magic Key expires, so you are unable to change the date of activation. The only way for you to change the date of activation would be to purchase an entirely new Magic Key and activate it when appropriate. I have known several people who have done this when it would be advantageous for them. The only risk is the unpredictable nature of Magic Key availability. However, as of the time of this writing, all Magic Key Types are currently on sale! As just before, you'll have one year from the date of purchase to activate that new Magic Key which will then dictate your new expiration date.
Have you been able to visit the
Magic Key Terrace yet? It's a wonderful little hacienda style restaurant in Disney California Adventure and serves up some delicious dishes. I often try to host my friends there whenever possible and we always enjoy the calm and serene environment, away from the bustle of the Theme Park. And don't forget to always check the Magic Key Portal in the
Disneyland Mobile App when you visit! You never know what surprises they have in store for us.
Jesus, I hope that you found this informative and that it helped you make a decision about what to do. I wish you a truly magical visit the next time you make your way to the Happiest Place on Earth and come by planDisney again anytime!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
