Welcome to planDisney, Alison! As a fellow
Magic Key holder, I completely understand wanting to make sure your year of magical visits continues seamlessly. I’m happy to help you navigate the payment details so everything goes smoothly.
At this time, Magic Key renewals cannot be completed using a check at the ticket booths located in the Esplanade. I reached out to the
Magic Key Holder phone line and spoke with a very kind Cast Member named Carla, who confirmed that checks are not an accepted payment method for renewals. The available payment options include cash or a valid debit or credit card. If you are planning to pay in full, you’ll want to have one of those forms of payment ready when you complete your renewal either online or in person.
Since you’re preparing to renew, it’s a wonderful time to pop over to the Magic Key Portal in the
Disneyland app. This online space is updated regularly with new offerings especially for Magic Key holders. Seasonal surprises are always my favorite part, because they feel like tiny celebrations of the Disney fandom we share. For the holiday season this year, there’s a particularly charming touch:
lenticular trading cards commemorating the 30th anniversary of A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Each is designed to be displayed inside a provided small frame which is perfect for adding a touch of festive cheer to your desk or shelf at home.
Speaking of the parade, I highly recommend planning to see the second showing of A Christmas Fantasy Parade during your next visit (the lights twinkling on Main Street at night have a way of making everything feel extra nostalgic). There’s something incredibly heartwarming about the moment Santa rounds the corner to head towards Sleeping Beauty Castle with the towering Christmas tree glowing behind him.
Whenever you’re ready to renew, Alison, just know that your planDisney friends are always here to support your Disney adventures. Here’s to another year filled with joyful visits, favorite snacks, and magical memories waiting just around the next corner.
Wishing you an enchanted day,
David
