Hi Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney! I’d be happy to help with your
Magic Key renewal question to make sure you’re in for another year of fun and pixie dust.
Currently, you can
renew your Magic Key pass up to 30 days before it expires. To be absolutely sure, I checked with a Cast Member who confirmed you have until 11:59 P.M. Pacific Time on the expiration date. Don't be late for this very important date, since passes can’t be renewed after that time.
You can renew on the
Disneyland website (you’ll see a Renew Passes button on the
Magic Key page). You should be directed to a list with all the Magic Keys associated with your account and then you can select which pass you’d like to renew.
This is the practically perfect time to renew your Magic Key since the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration is starting on May 16, 2025! While I can’t wait for the return of some of my favorites, like the
Paint the Night Parade and
Wondrous Journeys, I’m most excited for the new
World of Color Happiness inspired by Walt’s famous words, “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!” There will also be a bit of extra pixie dust sprinkled on some of the rides, like references to the 70th anniversary throughout
Toy Story Midway Mania! Check out
