Welcome to planDisney, Susan!
It's always a treat to help a fellow Annual Passholder maximize the magic of their Walt Disney World Annual Pass. I'm so glad you stopped by! I actually renewed my own Annual Pass just this week, so it's a
practically perfect time to discuss the process with you. Let's get to it!
While Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passes can be renewed beginning 60 days before and up to 30 days after expiration, your renewed pass will be valid for 365 days from the original expiration date regardless of the date that the renewed pass is first used. For example, my Annual Pass expired on January 26, 2025, and I renewed it through the My Disney Experience app on January 28. My renewed pass immediately appeared in my account with an expiration date of January 26, 2026, even though I renewed the pass on January 28 and won't scan into a theme park until February. Because the expiration date will remain the same for the next year, the renewal window will as well.
Although there is a slight gap between the dates of renewal and first use, for me the
current savings offered for renewing Passholders was too beneficial to pass up. Speaking of savings and Passholder-exclusive offerings, don't forget to keep an eye on
The Passholder Buzz in your My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date information. I can't wait to pick up a
Passholder magnet featuring one of my favorite bayou pals later this month!
I hope this was helpful, Susan. If you need any further clarification about the renewal process or are simply looking for information about making the most of your Annual Pass, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
