Hiya, Emily!
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you are no longer in need of having a member of your party's Magic Key pass linked to your Disneyland App. I will say I love that feature of being able to link up with your party to get those virtual queues, though. But you do have to be quick when that clock strikes to enter!
Unlinking a Magic Key pass or Disneyland Resort admission ticket from your Disneyland App can be a breeze! However, there are two scenarios I foresee when it comes to unlinking so I'll share both and hopefully one of them fits the need you have!
Scenario 1: You purchased a Magic Key for someone else with your account and want to link it to their Disney account instead. Unfortunately, this scenario will need a call in to the Magic Key Holders hotline. As the current account holder, you will need to make that call on their behalf, but be sure to have the correct Disney account email to move the Magic Key to the other person's account.
Scenario 2: You linked someone's Magic Key pass (or tickets) to group your party for virtual queues or Disability Access Services.
- Once you're logged in on the app's home screen navigation, tap the three bars in the bottom right corner. A menu will pop up and you'll want to tap "Tickets and Passes."
- Swipe to find the pass or ticket you want to release from your account. If it can be removed, it will show "Delete This Pass/Ticket"
- Hit the "X" and voila! Just like that, it's gone. You don't have to worry about accidentally removing your own linked pass or tickets there is no option to do that in the app. That takes a phone call.
Well, Emily, you are now a pro at removing Magic Keys from your Disneyland App or Disney account! It's been great sharing these tips with you. I hope you're planning a visit soon back to The Happiest Place on Earth! 2024 is already proving to have lots of magic in store!
See ya real soon,
Camille
