Howdy, Joseph! Welcome to planDisney! I'm thrilled your
Walt Disney World Resort visit is just around the corner, so let's talk about
Lightning Lane passes to help maximize your time in the theme parks. As Peter Pan crows, "Here we gooooo!"
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said that Lighting Lane passes typically can't be transferred or refunded, but he suggested you call the
App and MagicBand Support line. They can see your account details to help determine your options.
For example, many guests purchase Lightning Lane Multi and Single passes in the same transaction, and the system typically defaults to the same guests for all the passes. In that scenario, you can call the help line to explain the situation, and they should be able to remove the guest and refund the single pass, or transfer the pass to someone else.
Please note that
Lightning Lane Single Passes cannot be reassigned to a guest who already holds a pass for the same attraction that day. The Cast Member called that double-dipping, which sounds more like a
DOLE Whip term to me!
I'd also like to mention the iconic blue umbrellas scattered throughout all four theme parks. The fabulous
Guest Experience Team mans those kiosks and can work all kinds of enchantments into your plans. I'm wishing on a star that you'll find a practically perfect solution!
One of my favorite attractions to use a Lightning Lane Single Pass for is
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Its price point is typically less, and it's a family-friendly coaster that combines amazing animatronic features with some medium-sized thrills. It may be off to work we go, but it feels more like playtime!
Joseph, I hope your upcoming trip is full of memories and magic. Please stop by
planDisney anytime, and pull down on that lap bar!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
