    I have a relative who is a US military veteran (over a decade of service) but did not retire. Are they still eligible for the military salute tickets?

    From all of us at planDisney, thank you for your family's service! As the spouse of a service member, I appreciate the sacrifices your whole family has made. Walt Disney World Resort has given our community many magical perks, including discounts on theme park tickets. As an honorably discharged Veteran, your family member unfortunately doesn't qualify to purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets, but there is another ticket they can buy! 

    Discounted Magic Your Way theme park tickets are available for Veterans who didn't retire from service. What is great about these tickets is that they come "activated." Once you link them to your My Disney Experience mobile app, you do not have to stop at Guest Relations and present your military ID for verification, which is what Salute ticket holders have to do. Make theme park reservations in advance, head over to the entrance turnstiles, and begin your magic-filled day! These tickets can be purchased through your local military base or Shades of Green Resort.

    As a Veteran, your family member also qualifies to stay at Shades of Green in January and September. This resort is located near Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, and what is great about staying here is that Guests qualify for Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours at the theme parks!
