    Is regular park admission ticket also required for Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park special ticket event?

    Rachel,

    Great question! 

    So for the Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom special event, like with those at the other parks, you do not need the standard Theme Park ticket to get in, unless of course you plan on coming in earlier than the event hours. With these special event tickets you can enter the park at 7:00 PM, even though the event may not start until anywhere from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, dependent upon the time of year. 

    There are 3 key things I suggest you should to focus on at this event; 
    1. Take advantage of the character greeting opportunities, and the typically shorter waits to meet them
    2. Focus on taking advantage of the shorter lines for attractions, especially those that are hard to get on during the standard daytime hours, like Peter Pan's Flight
    3. Eat dinner before the party starts, so that you are not wasting valuable special event time sitting at a meal, instead of enjoying the park. With your admission including some free food and beverage items, I choose to eat a smaller dinner at a counter service restaurant to save money and time, and let the party provide my dessert finale!
