Congratulations on signing up for your first
Walt Disney World Marathon! You are going to have an amazing time running 26.2 miles through the theme parks! I'm an avid
runDisney fan and I run several events a year. I signed up for
The Walt Disney World Marathon in January 2023 as well and I am so excited for the '90s throwback theme to celebrate 30 years running!
The
runDisney Bib Pickup will be held on four different dates. As. you mentioned, participants must pick up their bib at the
runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at least one day prior to their first event. Since you are running the marathon on Sunday, you can definitely pick up your bib at the Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, January 2 between the hours of 11:00-3:00pm.
Susan, you are going to love the Health & Fitness Expo because there is amazing merchandise, vendors, and speakers. I do want to make sure you are aware that runDisney merchandise can sell out quickly. So if you have your eyes on a special shirt, tumbler, or magnet, make sure to visit the expo early.
I also highly recommend that you stay at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel because you will be able to take advantage of the complimentary bus transportation to and from the Health & Fitness Expo and the Marathon.
One of my favorite parts of the marathon is being able to see the
Christmas decorations still set up around the parks and resorts. Make sure to take a day to visit
Disney's Magic Kingdom to enjoy the cute Mickey Mouse wreaths, holiday treats, and Christmas music. And wear your medal around the park! You've earned it!
