How do we register for the run Disney for 2027 (yes I know it will be next years registration) but just planning ahead as we will be flying out and stopping for a few days wtc

    Hey Emma,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m excited to hear you’re planning ahead to participate in a 2027 runDisney event! The themes for the 2026 Springtime Surprise Weekend were recently revealed, and registration opens later this month. I’m hoping I can fit a future runDisney event into my schedule!

You are correct that registration for 2027 runDisney events should take place sometime in 2026. At this time, 2026 Springtime Surprise is the final event on the 2025-2026 Race Season Calendar. In the past, the Race Season Calendar has been released on the Disney Parks Blog and runDisney Blog in early January. The calendar will share the events and their dates, including when you can register.

Currently, general registration usually opens at 10:00 AM ET on the announced date. A few minutes before 10:00 AM ET, you should visit runDisney.com and log in to your runDisney account. Visit the race weekend page and click on the specific event you’d like to register for. You’ll be taken to a waiting room, which usually displays an estimated wait time and lists if any events have sold out. Once it is your turn to register, you’ll confirm the event you want to participate in and enter your information, like name, date of birth, shirt size, and emergency contact information. If you’re traveling with a running buddy, you can purchase more than one registration in a transaction. Your registration is not secured until you have received a confirmation email!

Since we’re talking about registering in 2026 for a 2027 runDisney event, these registration procedures I described are subject to change. But you can follow Disney Parks Blog and the runDisney Blog for any future updates!

Good luck registering for your race, Emma! It is never too early to start talking Disney details, so if you have any more questions, come back to see us at planDisney!
