Welcome to planDisney, Sarah!
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is such a fabulous place. I stayed in Gran Destino Tower last year and was so impressed. The theming and décor have a charming elegance about them that makes you feel as though you're staying in a Deluxe Resort. The dining options are also very impressive. The food at
Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood is delicious (the views aren't bad either). And
Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago is a hidden gem. But I'm also a man of simple pleasures. And so I love ordering a tasty coffee from
Barcelona Lounge and walking around Lago Dorado first thing in the morning. Needless to say, you won't go wanting for places to eat and drink, Sarah.
Unfortunately, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort does not have visitor parking. You can always ask the Front Desk if they can give your friend's name to security. That way, when they arrive at the resort entrance, they can give their name and be let through. If your guest is wanting to dine with you at the hotel they can always tell security of their plans when they arrive and they should be allowed to park. However, I should say that the pools at Disney Resorts are only for Guests staying at the hotel. Therefore, your guest would not be allowed to join you at the pool.
I hope that's clarifying, Sarah. Have a great time at Walt Disney World.
Mike
