Other readers can click HERE to read the prior response, that I believe you are referring to.  This response mentions important details about adjoining rooms, room views, and how to confirm that your request is appropriately documented in your reservation.

Unfortunately, there is no process to guarantee that you get the exact room you request, but at least this info can help improve your odds.

Regarding your specific question, I have found that it is best to call the resort directly, and ask for "room assignments" or simply ask if you can speak with someone who can look up your specific reservation to confirm that your preferences are noted.  If you click HERE you will find a list of all of the phone numbers for most of the WDW resorts.

Lastly, I have recently noticed that many resorts don't get the information until about 3-5 days before your arrival, so you might want to wait until 5 days before your arrival date.

    Hope that helps.  ºoº
