    Regarding Castaway Cay 5K logistics. I was wondering if it was possible to meet for the 5K on land and not on the ship. I was hoping to get my adult daughter who is not running settled on the beach prior to racing.

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  OH MY DISNEY!  Your Disney Cruise is just around the corner.  I am excited that you and your daughter will be sailing away and celebrating her graduation!  Congratulations to you both on this joyous occasion.

    I am glad you will be enjoying some time at my favorite port, Castaway Cay!  This carefree island oasis is my favorite place to relax and enjoy some time in the sun.  Running the 5K is a favorite way for so many of us to start our day here.  One of the advantages of participating in this event is to be among the first off the ship on this day.

    I would recommend talking to Guest Services while onboard, prior to arriving in Castaway Cay, to discuss the best way for you to get checked in and get your daughter settled prior to the official start of the event.  Your daughter should be able to accompany you to the 5K check in on the ship and debark with you that morning at Castaway Cay.  You could walk quickly to the Castaway Family Beach and get her settled in as participants walk to the starting line.  Then, run to the starting line to start the race once she has her place on the beach.

    After you finish the 5K, you can rejoin your daughter on the beach and enjoy the rest of your day.  Be sure to check out the great snorkeling in the lagoon, lunch at Cookie's BBQ and even some time at the adults exclusive Serenity Bay beach.  If you are looking for something a bit more adventurous, my husband and I really enjoyed parasailing and taking in the incredible view of the ship and island!
