    Regarding Alaska excursions: Are the ages listed for excursions hard and fast rules or are they just recommendations? We're finding many we're interested in say 5 and up, and our 3 kids are not that old yet!

    Hi Maryjo!

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  Your Alaskan voyage on the Wonder is going to be a magical experience you will never forget!  These spectacular ports of call look amazing, and the memories you make will be priceless!  I wish I had better news for you, but the age requirements are not flexible due to the fact that the tour operators are independent contractors and not run by Disney Cruise Line. My family has also run in to this dilemma so I completely understand your frustration when exploring your options.  I can tell you many of the Port Adventures have been created especially for Disney Cruise Line with kids in mind so keep on researching.  Also, if there is one you really would like to do, your children are welcome to stay onboard and participate in the kids' programming while you and your husband venture ashore.  If you haven't already, I suggest you check out the Alaskan Videos on DisneyCruise.com.  2011 Cruise Mom, Andi, did a fantastic job sharing her family's adventures with future Alaskan cruisers like you.  Hopefully, these will help you decide on the best options for your crew!
