Hello, Zephiroula, and thank you for visiting
planDisney with your question.
First, let me say that I am very sorry that this is something you have to even think about. I know the added stress this must bring to your vacation planning.
Disney Cruise Line does have a
cancellation policy in place, so you can check to see what applies if something so sad should happen before you are ready to sail. It varies by the number of nights you are sailing, whether or not you are in a suite or concierge level, and other factors.
A better option for you may be to purchase
travel insurance. Although this is not required to travel on Disney Cruise Line, Disney does offer the
Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan. There are also other travel insurers out there that you might seek out independently. In most cases, the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan does cover you in the event that there is a death of a family member.
Zaphiroula, I am absolutely hoping that you are able to sail on your favorite
Disney Cruise Line ship soon, and I will keep good thoughts for you so that when you do go, you can do it with peace and happiness in your heart.
Anna
