Oh bother! I'm sorry to hear about the mixup with the dates of your
dining reservation. I, too, have accidentally chosen the wrong date in the midst of my excitement at finding availability at the restaurant of my dreams. It's true that
restaurants charge a per-person cancellation fee for reservations canceled after their designated cancellation period. This fee also applies for no shows. It sounds like you were charged this fee after not canceling in time. I recommend you call (407) 939-3463 and speak with a helpful Cast Member at Disney Dining to see if anything can be done about the fee you were charged. They might be able to help, but it's not a guarantee.
I hope you were able to
find dining reservations for the correct dates of your trip. If you haven't yet, it's not too late! Simply open your
My Disney Experience app and click on the plus sign at the bottom of the screen. Select "Check Dining Availability" from the list of options, input your party size and desired date, then click on a time option under "Search by Time" to see what pops up. Try clicking through each time option listed there, as some reservations will appear that weren't initially. People change their plans constantly, so keep checking back if the reservation you want isn't available now. I've been able to find reservations up to the day of in the past by checking back often.
