    Can refillable mugs be reactivated? Im dying to have the star wars stainless steel mug, and am staying in a week and again in March!

    Hi Naomi!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    I already have quite the collection of refillable mugs from previous stays at Walt Disney World Resort, and had sworn off adding additional mugs.  However, the new stainless steel Disney Skyliner mug has caught my eye!  I completely understand your interest in the new Star Wars mug.  This new design is definitely something I would use again at home, and will keep drinks hot for up to 4 hours or cold for up to 12 hours.

    Refillable mugs are activated upon purchase (or when claiming the mug included with a Disney Dining Plan) and are good for refills of fountain drinks, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate at self-service beverage islands at Quick-Service locations at any Disney Resort Hotel during the length of your stay.  It is my understanding that the initial activation is good for up to 14 days.  Although there is not currently a reactivation option for the refillable mug program, I would talk to a Cast Member when purchasing your mug and let them know about your travel plans.  It never hurts to ask!  With the Walt Disney Company's commitment to environmentally friendly practices, I'm really hoping a reactivation option will be offered in the future.
