    I have 2 refillable mugs from when my husband and I stayed at the Beach Club last month. Planning on returning with my family this August 2012 at AKL. Can we reuse the mugs from Jan and pay for the additional mugs in August? Family of 5, need to budget.

    Hi Lisa,  Welcome to the Mom's Panel!  We're glad you're hEAR!  That is a great question. You will find that there is quite a bit of debate about the refillable mugs.  Although some guests do bring their refillable mugs back from previous visits and previous resorts, the official Disney policy states that the mugs are for use at the Resort that they were purchased during the duration of your visit. There is a sign posted on the beverage dispenser stations at the Resorts stating the policy. So, you will need to purchase new refillable mugs for your stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. When our family of six travels, we find that we are able to purchase two mugs during our trip. This way, my husband and I share a mug for coffee, and the children share a mug for soda and lemonade. Our old Disney refillable mugs have become souvenirs for us and we enjoy using them when we get back home.  Sorry if this was not the news you were hoping for.
