Hi there, Marianne!
Welcome back to planDisney! It’s always a delight when you stop by with your questions for us.
I’m elated that your trip is coming up so soon! You must be gearing up to explore all the magic around Walt Disney World Resort. One of my favorite things to do while visiting is check out other Disney Resort hotels. Each one offers such unique theming, and I can’t help but be in awe of all the details sprinkled throughout the properties.
Marianne, I hope this means you’re staying at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! You’re going to fall in love with the Resort hotel. Where else can you wake up and watch giraffes guzzle up leaves and twigs as you sip your morning cup of coffee? Speaking of sips, yippie for the Resort refillable mugs! I’m an avid collector of these, and using them around the resorts brings me so much happiness!
As you may know, these are 16-ounce plastic mugs offered for purchase at your Disney Resort hotel. After your initial purchase, it is good for the length of your stay, up to 14 days. During this time, you can get unlimited refills at the Disney Resort hotel’s
Quick Service locations with self-serve stations. These include an array of sodas, coffee, and tea. Although you won’t be able to refill your mug at the parks, I love bringing mine along to fill it with ice water to stay hydrated throughout the day.
I’m happy to tell you that you can absolutely use the refill station at any of the Disney Resort hotels. For instance, when I stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, my family wanted to take the Disney Monorail to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s Quick Service dining location for dinner because we just adore
Gasparilla Island Grill. We brought our mugs along because we knew we’d be able to get our sodas from there.
You’ll also love using the refill station around the Resort hotel pool area; there’s usually one at each resort’s larger pool. I like to sip my soda as I lounge around and relax by the pool and watch my little Mouseketeers splash around.
I hope you have an enchanting visit, Marianne!
