Is there a reference for which sit-down dinings count as two on the basic meal plan? I heard the Polynesian show counts as two, for example.

Hi Kathleen!  So happy that I can help you with this question.  The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to save money while still enjoying great cuisine from around the world!  The basic DDP entitles you to one snack, one Quick-Service meal, and one Table-Service meal per person, per day for the length of your stay.  You can use these entitlements any way you choose:  have a bakery "snack" for breakfast, a Quick-Service meal for lunch, and a table service meal for dinner.  Or you can combine your Table-Service credits for Signature dining meals or Dinner Shows.  The Spirit of Aloha show at the Polynesian Resort is a family-style luau that takes place on the Seven Seas Lagoon.  The show includes live entertainment along with authentic Polynesian-influenced dishes.  It does require two (2) Table-Service credits per person as well as a credit card guarantee (They will charge your credit card the full amount if you do not cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to your scheduled show time.)

A great reference is the Disney Dining Plan page of the Walt Disney World website.  You can download the 2012 DDP guide and use it as a reference when planning your reservations.  It is divided up so that you can identify Quick-Service dining, Table-Service dining, Signature dining and Character dining easily.

Hopefully, this will clear things up a bit and if you need anything else, please feel free to ask again!
