Tessa Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

What is your re-entering policy if you are not staying at a Disney resort? Is there a back way to enter Disney Magic Kingdom? If so, how do I access? What is the rain/storm closing protocol? Are you refunded or credited? Thanks!

Hey there, Tessa! Welcome to planDisney and the magic of Walt Disney World Resort. For the first time in forever, it's arrival day! I hope your visit is off to a fantastic start, so let's see if I can answer some of your planning questions to help it all go smoothly.

Your theme park admission allows you to come and go as often as you like! If you have a standard ticket that allows you to visit one theme park per day, you can re-enter the same park; the Park Hopper Option allows entry and re-entry to any of the four theme parks. Keep in mind that parks could reach capacity, which will cause re-entry to be paused, but this is rare and typically only happens on the busiest holidays.

The only theme park with a second entry is EPCOT's International Gateway in the World Showcase near the France Pavilion. Magic Kingdom Park's main entrance gate is the only way for guests to access the magic. If you're coming from Disney's Contemporary Resort, there's a walkway with its own security checkpoint, but you'll still enter the park at the main gate.

Ah, the weather. Welcome to Florida! I've lived in the Sunshine State for years and learned to "wait and see" because the forecast is a moving target. Most attractions at the theme parks will continue to operate in rainy weather, but lightning can cause outdoor rides to close until the threat has moved on.

For more intense storms (we don't even whisper the "H" word here!), parks might close for safety concerns. This happened to my family, and our ticket expiration date was extended to allow us to plan a future stay. You can read more about weather-related policies, and feel free to stop by Guest Relations or call the Existing Tickets line for more details.

My final tip is to watch the Weather Updates & Information page for updates about weather-related warnings or park closures. I'm waving my magic umbrella so your visit will be full of sun and warm breezes!

Tessa, thanks again for stopping by planDisney. We're always here to answer your questions and give our best tips. Enjoy your visit, and tell Mickey, "Hiya!"

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
